Tianmu Lake Energy Storage Institute:Strategically Affiliated to the Innovation System of YRD National Technology Innovation Center
On June 25, the unveiling ceremony marking the strategic affiliation of Tianmu Lake Energy Storage Research Institute with the Yangtze River Delta National Technology Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as the YRD National Innovation Center) was grandly held at the Seminar on New Electrochemical Energy Storage Technologies hosted in Changzhou. Our institute has officially joined the YRD National Innovation Center and become one of its research and development carriers. This affiliation will help our institute forge a coordinated industrial chain covering the full cycle of energy storage technologies from R&D to industrialization. It will also further boost the supply of innovative new energy technologies from the YRD National Innovation Center and drive breakthroughs in new energy storage technologies as well as high-quality industrial development.Li Jinzhong, Deputy Director of the Industrial Development Promotion Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Fan Jihong, Member of the Administrative Committee of the Yangtze River Delta National Technology Innovation Center, and Hu Yi, General Manager of Tianmu Lake Energy Storage Research Institute, attended the ceremony. Hu Yi and Fan Jihong jointly unveiled the plaque for the institute’s strategic affiliation with the YRD National Innovation Center. The core mission and energy sector strategic layout of the YRD National Innovation Center are highly aligned with our institute’s technological accumulation, engineering capabilities and industrial service network in the energy storage field.Following the affiliation, our institute will continue to focus on tackling cutting-edge technologies including solid-state batteries and sodium-ion batteries. It will prioritize resolving generic industrial bottlenecks such as innovations in energy storage materials, system integration, engineering scale-up and intelligent manufacturing. We aim to build a world-class R&D platform for solid-state batteries and accelerate the large-scale commercial application of China’s advanced energy storage technologies from laboratory settings.Furthermore, the two parties will conduct in-depth collaboration across four dimensions: joint talent cultivation, joint technology research, joint project implementation and joint industrial ecosystem development. We will jointly conduct research on new energy storage materials, energy storage systems and intelligent full-lifecycle battery management, contributing innovative strength from the Yangtze River Delta to the nation’s energy transition and the achievement of the dual carbon goals.
