Recently, the Science and Technology Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region announced the list of proposed projects for the "2025 Autonomous Region Science and Technology Breakthrough Project" to be launched. Tianmu Lake Advanced Energy Storage Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. (referred to as Tianmu Lake Energy Storage Institute) has successfully unveiled the second list of "High Safety and Long Life Solid State Lithium ion Batteries and Their Energy Storage Application Research" in the "Energy Storage and New Power System Special Project". This special project is led by Huaneng Yimin Coal and Electricity Co., Ltd., with Tianmu Lake Energy Storage Institute, Beijing Weilan, Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology, Xi'an Thermal Power Institute and other units as the project undertakers. The total budget is 10 million yuan, and it will carry out in-depth research and development in the field of solid-state lithium-ion batteries and energy storage applications.
The project unveiled this time focuses on high safety and long-life solid-state lithium-ion battery technology, aiming to break through the key technological bottlenecks that restrict the development of the energy storage industry and promote the large-scale application of solid-state batteries in new power systems. As the project undertaking unit, Tianmu Lake Energy Storage Institute will closely cooperate with cooperative units such as Huaneng Yimin Coal and Electricity Co., Ltd., integrate resources from all parties, and leverage their respective advantages. Tianmu Lake Energy Storage Institute will fully utilize its expertise in material research and development, process optimization, and failure analysis to jointly tackle the challenges of high safety and long lifespan of solid-state batteries, promote the rapid transformation and implementation of research results, and assist Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in achieving technological breakthroughs in energy storage and new power systems, contributing to China's energy structure transformation and the achievement of the "dual carbon" goal.
