PACK Thermal Simulation

Utilizing the latest version of Star-CCM+, we can establish a 0D electrical model and a 3D thermal model for PACK-level analysis of the overall thermal performance.

The modules are configured in 2 parallel and 8 series, with 2 modules connected in series to form one PACK.

Each cell has a capacity of 50Ah, and the RC parameters are obtained through HPPC testing, with the input conditions being the load (current).

This allows us to calculate the temperature distribution and flow uniformity distribution of the battery cells.

Simulation of Fast Charging for Liquid-Cooled Battery Pack

Constant Current-Constant Voltage Charging Curve

Liquid-cooled battery pack with 38 series-parallel battery modules;

The fast charging process will be simulated using a constant current/constant voltage curve;

The charging process will end by defining a specific SOC (State of Charge) or by a defined current cutoff.
