Detailed Description
The NCM622/Li button cell exhibits the following performance characteristics when tested within the voltage range of 3 to 4.5V: It undergoes a 0.1C activation cycle, followed by 0.5C cycling, all conducted at room temperature. The conventional electrolyte used is 1M LiPF6 dissolved in a mixture of EC/EMC/DMC in a volume ratio of 1:1:1.
Proportion | 0 | 1% | 3% | 5% |
Initial Discharge Capacity/mAh g⁻¹ | 168.6 | 169.3 | 166.9 | 170.8 |
Discharge capacity ratio at 500 discharge cycles/mAh g⁻¹ | 93.4 | 108.9 | 116.8 | 115.3 |
Capacity retention after 500 cycles/% | 55.4% | 64.3% | 70.0% | 67.5% |
After solidifying the electrode sheets using PIL, the impact on the specific discharge capacity of the positive electrode is relatively small, while it can improve the cycle stability of the battery under high voltage of 4.5V.
After 500 cycles, the capacity retention rate can be increased from 55.4% to 70.0%.
This approach reduces interfacial side reactions, enhances mixing performance, and improves cycle stability under high voltage conditions.
